South West Arizona Geocachers (S*W*A*G) are based out of Yuma, Arizona, and was founded over 12 years ago. Since then, the organization has grown to over 150 active Geocaching members.
S*W*A*G organizes the annual "Yuma Event", which has been held since 2004 and has grown from 35 attendees, to the first MEGA Event ever held in Arizona, in 2013, with over 1100 people attending . This annual geocaching get-together has become the largest Geocaching event in Southwest Arizona, with visitors from all over North America attending. The membership supports the annual Yuma Event through fund raising, 50/50 draws, sponsorships, and donations.
S*W*A*G Breakfast meetings are normally (but not always) held the second Saturday or Sunday of each month at various Yuma area locations from October to March each year. To see specific dates each month set your geocaching.com account home location to Yuma and look at the "Nearby Events" calendar on your home page. A lot of the members are "Winter Residents" from all over the USA and Canada, but many are year round residents of Yuma. Our Breakfast Events are published in your Groundspeak Weekly Newsletter.... Come, meet the gang, join in and enjoy yourself !!!
The S*W*A*G group was created for Geocachers who live in Yuma, winter in Yuma, cache often in the Yuma area, or have friends or family already in the group.
